Banstead Rotary Quiz Night raises more than £780 for The Royal Marsden!
A local quiz team has won the Banstead Rotary Club’s annual challenge that has raised over £780 for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.
Held at The Beacon School, the quiz night was attended by over 90 people and brought together 12 teams made up of Rotarians and members of the local community, whose attendance and donations outstripped last year’s fundraising efforts.
The winning team, amusingly named Leavers Alone was made up of local supporters.
Organisers of the quiz night were Banstead Rotarians Roger and David. The quiz master was Leatherhead Rotarian , Simon.
President Jane said “ We were delighted that local Surrey charity , The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity is set to benefit from funds raised at our well attended quiz night at The Beacon School.
The tremendous support we received from all those who attended certainly boosted our fundraising efforts. It will enable us to distribute an even larger amount of money than was raised last year to a very worthy cause.”
