Banstead Rotary Youth Community Service Awards

Each year local students at The Beacon School are awarded certificates and a WH Smith’s prize token for services and charity work carried outside normal school hours. The Banstead Rotary Community Service Awards are presented at the annual Prize Giving.

The school has also been supporting The Banstead Rotary Club with their charity Purple4Polio.

On 8th May President Jane Illingworth of Banstead Rotary came in to speak to the School Council about Rotary and the charity. When she returned to the school for Prize Giving on 13th July she was presented with a cheque for ££261.28. by the pupils. This money was raised for Purple4Polio.
